Isolina Arbulu is delighted to present its first photo group exhibition, showcasing the works of six talented photographers from different cultural backgrounds. The exhibition explores the multifaceted experiences of women in contemporary society, and how they navigate and challenge societal norms and stereotypes. Through the lens of photography, these six artists capture the complexities of being a woman today.
Three women artists, chilean video and photo artist Magdalena Correa, Colombian photographer Adriana Duque, and Mexican/Spanish photographer Angélica Arbulu, all use their art to challenge the gender roles and societal expectations imposed upon women. Additionally, the exhibition features the works of three male photographers. Spanish renowned photographer Ciuco Gutierrez, Mexican/German multifaceted artist Hubertus Hohenlohe, and Canadian musician and photographer Bryan Adams show us how women are perceived in today's society.
Each artist’s unique approach to photography adds to the diverse representation of women’s experiences portrayed in the exhibition and, together, these six artists use the power of photography to inspire, inviting us to open up a dialogue about the experiences and roles of women in today's world.
The exhibition runs from the 9th of June to the 16th of August 2023 at our Marbella gallery. Don’t miss this opportunity to explore the contemporary art scene and join in the conversation about gender and social norms.
