This installation takes its inspiration from the biblical story of Adam and Eve, where the moment Eve picks the apple, everything changes—paradise is lost, and darkness enters the world. Living amidst olive and almond trees, I’ve noticed how these trees, especially almond trees, develop beautifully irregular shapes, even as many of them wither and die due to drought. This transformation served as the perfect foundation for my work.

Just as Eve reaches for the forbidden fruit, this tree is adorned with countless arms, all grasping for something unseen. At first, these outstretched arms might seem stark and desolate, echoing a sense of loss. Yet, to me, they also evoke the image of ripe fruit hanging from the branches, waiting to fall to the earth. It’s a powerful symbol—the idea that from a lifeless tree with its barren limbs emerges the vision of renewal, with each arm striving toward a fresh beginning.

One of the hands extends toward an apple, a symbol of hope, new possibilities, and the promise of a renewed paradise. Through this installation, I explore the tension between loss and rebirth, where even in desolation, there lies the seed of new growth.
